I have a fickle relationship with my writing. Over the years, I’ve written several poems, dozens of haiku, notes and outlines for a couple novels. I’ve started a blog three different times. As with most writing, my blogging generally ceased due to lack of time and ambition. But I think the blogs were doomed to failure from the beginning because they lacked focus - it’s difficult to write for no one in particular about nothing of import on a daily basis.
This blog should be easier to maintain, however. It has a purpose - to put to page my thoughts and feelings as my sons grow up, and in writing and sharing them, grow a bit of my own. I won’t promise to keep a daily journal, but I hope to at least have record of important events, and maybe entertain a bit along the way.
